A complete, standalone piece that hasn’t been previously published. Something that isn't a sequel of a published fanwork or part of an existing series (remember Anonymity!) Chaptered works or fanart with multiple images must be completed before posting.

2000 words minimum, maximum is ∞.

Any pairing is welcome, such as Kyungsoo with current or past EXO members (Excluding Kris Wu). Kyungsoo/other idols, actors or other public figures of any gender who are 18 and older, ot3+, Kyungsoo/everyone, etc. This is as long as Kyungsoo is a main character. Although it is not required for Kyungsoo to be in a romantic or sexual relationship with anyone, Kyungsoo-centric works are fine too. Different types of relationships, genders and orientations are more than welcome.

Make sure to add appropriate warnings every step of the way, we appreciate the heads up.

Smut is not required!

About our Top & Dom theme: Since we typically hold rounds where smut and kink are not required, and other characters may have different dynamics with each other, our fest is not "Top or Dominant Kyungsoo ONLY", but instead "no Bottom or Submissive Kyungsoo included". This is so we can offer as much freedom as possible while staying on topic. In cases where it’s not possible to show bedroom preferences or power play (such as in G-rated, SFW or solo Kyungsoo content) we also encourage the creation of works that show his stronger, cooler side, or where he is in charge of things in a non-kinky way! Although these things aren’t synonymous with “top” and we’re all for stepping out of the box and subverting stereotypes, they’re a huge inspiration for our fest and our public and we think they could use some more love!

If you've claimed somebody's prompt, in addition to the fest's global rules and requirements, the prompter's dislikes should also be respected.

Due to the adult nature of our fest's theme, participants must be at least 18 years old to sign up.

Respect the Mods, the participants, and their works. Remember that authors and fanartists put time, effort, and feelings into their works, so be mindful of your comments.

NO anti-top, bottom, dom or sub comments. We're not here to hate but to appreciate some underrated dynamics.

No plagiarized material. The round will be a tribute to movies, but the work created must be written or drawn from scratch by the participant, not traced or copied directly from an official source, or from another fan’s creation. (!!!December update: We've reviewed AO3's rules on plagiarism in fanfic and they allow content lifted straight from the official source, as long as it is given proper credit, so we will allow it as well. But it is always recommended to use your own words as much as possible so that you can get credit for your own work.)

No sexually explicit situations involving minors (under 18) or rape.

We try not to have too many restrictions but please use your best judgement when dealing with sensitive subjects and add appropriate warnings. When in doubt, ask.

No ghosting, please! We’ll understand if you can't communicate on time, but it's better late than never. We're very lenient with deadlines, but this is the only thing that can really set us back :(

The mods reserve the right to turn down prompts, works or remove participants as we consider necessary.

Anyone 18 and older can claim a prompt from our archive or sign-up with their own prompt.

You don't need to have an AO3 account to participate, all you need is a valid email and an alternate form of contact, if you have one. If you can't post your own work to AO3 we'll post it on the fest's account. After reveals you can post your work to your own accounts.

Claiming is done on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so the sooner you claim, the higher the chances of getting your preferred prompt! If there's a prompt you really want and you won't be online at the time claiming begins, you can ask a friend to submit your information for you. If you're unsure whether your sign-up information was submitted correctly, we recommend you try again before asking, the wait could let your favorite prompt slip away!

Prompts can only be claimed once for fanfic and once for fanart.

Participants can only make one claim at a time, with the exception of people who wish to make both fanart + fanfic for the same prompt.

To claim a fanfic+fanart combo of the same prompt you need to submit both forms.

To claim a second prompt, participants must submit the completed work for their first prompt.

Fanfic and Fanart claims by different people on the same prompt does not mean a collaboration. Each person will work on their own claim separately. If two friends wish to claim fanfic and fanart for the same prompt and collaborate, we won’t be against it, but we’d recommend making something that can be posted separately in case the other person drops out.

Some movies have been prompted more than once. In this case, once one of these prompts has been claimed, the others will become unavailable for the type of work that has been claimed. If the claimer drops out or fails to check-in, prompts for the same movie will become available again.

It's not necessary to adhere to the original movie. If a prompt is too similar, it's ok, prompts are meant to be more like a starting point, but the development is up to the writer. Some prompts are already very different from the movie they're inspired by.

Fanartists are free to base their art on either the movie mentioned or the prompt, but even if the prompt isn’t used, the prompter’s dislikes must be respected. Drawing Kyungsoo solo is fine, but changing the ship is not allowed.

Don't reveal your claim publicly! You can talk about it with a beta, but part of the dynamic is to stay anonymous. We have a guessing activity planned, so keep that in mind when talking about your participation in the fest.
